How do I open a shared library (.lnai file)?#
Tap the .lnai file you received (e.g. in Mail, the Files app, or via the share sheet) and choose
NearGuide to open it. The library is imported and replaces the current one — you are asked
first.
Why does the app ask for location access?#
Location access is solely the technical gateway to iBeacon detection (including in the background, to trigger a local notification when you are near a beacon). No GPS coordinates are read, stored or transmitted — there is no location tracking. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Do I need an account? Is any data collected?#
No. NearGuide has no account, no cloud sync, no tracking. Everything stays local on your
device; content only leaves it when you choose to share a .lnai file.
Which beacons are supported?#
NearGuide works with iBeacon-compatible Bluetooth beacons; HolyIOT nRF52 beacons can be set up directly in the curator feature.
